Who are Saikatham Books?

Saikatham books are a platform for writers from around the world to publish their books either in Printed format or in eBook Format. We make it easy for you to design, publish, and distribute your eBooks and Printed Books.

What are the Publishing Platforms, Publishing Methods, and Banners under Saikatham Books?

Option 1 Main Stream Publishing:

Main Stream or Conventional Publishing is available for the books which are authored by well-known or established authors, or if the review panel found the manuscript as Genuine, Exceptional and Outstanding or if the manuscript is well authored by a well-known celebrity.

Option 2 Partnership Publishing:

Partnership Publishing or Publishing with an author contribution is available for the books which are authored by known authors, or if the review panel found the manuscript as excellent and genuine, or if the manuscript is authored by a known celebrity.

Option 3 Print Only/Self-Publishing:

Print only Publishing is available for the books which are authored by well-known authors, or if the review panel found the manuscript as exceptional and outstanding, and if the book layout and Cover are met with our standards.

Option 1 Partnership Publishing:

Partnership Publishing or Publishing with an author contribution is available for the books which are authored by known authors, or if the review panel found the manuscript as excellent. It is similar to Partnership publishing with Saikatham Books but this option allow the author more flexibility on contents, so that they may get more control on the contents, style, design and layout of the books.

Option 2 Self-Publishing:

Self-Publishing is available for the books which are authored by any authors, or if the review panel found the manuscript as nicely rendered and good to read. Authors or companies can use their own logos and credentials in the book.

Option 3 Print Only:

Print only Publishing is available for the books which are authored by any authors, or if the review panel found the manuscript as nicely rendered and good to read. Authors or companies can use their own logos and credentials in the book.

What is the publishing procedure?

1. You may assess the manuscript by yourself and choose an option from the above and submit the manuscript for review by email, postal or courier. While submitting the manuscript, if possible, kindly write a small note if you prefer any of the options. Also refer the chart below before sending a manuscript to us.
2. You may submit the manuscript to us for a review. We may contact you within two weeks’ time with the best option we selected for your book.

What are the preferred communications Methods?

Can you please explain about the Publishing Packages and what you do if you agree to the various options?

Please have a look at the below table for getting an idea about the Publishing Packages. All are Optional and may be decided as per the books.

What about the author's copies?

Normal author copies are 10. Additional author copies are as per the contribution and requirements.

What about author copy shipment?

Shipment to any Kerala address is free. For shipping outside Kerala, shipping charges shall be paid by the addressee.

I want to publish through Saikatham Books. But I don’t know how to create the cover and interior. How do I proceed?

Saikatham Books helps you create professional-looking interiors and covers for your book. Please refer to the above chart to know more about what we do!

What is an ISBN?

ISBN stands for 'International Standard Book Number'. It's basically a 13 digit identification number that booksellers and libraries use to identify books, magazines, newspapers or other publications. A separate ISBN is assigned for each volume, language, type, and editions.

Who owns the rights to my book?

The author holds all the rights. We exist to help you reach the market via our distribution partners and act as a publishing brand for your book. By signing the agreement, you authorize Saikatham Books to publish your content for three years. After that (or in between by mutual communication) you can transfer the authorization to anybody. 

How to set or knowing the selling price of a book?

The selling price of a book is depends on various mesures. We may help ou to fix the price or refer our website to get an idea about current pricing.

How many copies of my book will you print?

Normally we prefer to print 500 or 1000 copies in each print run. It can be decided during the agreement time.

How can I refer to how many copies sold and what are my earnings?

For Printed Books, You may get Royalty statements on each year or upon request. Also, you may visit our store to check the stock physically.
For eBooks, you may get Royalty statements on each month or upon request.

How and when are profits distributed?

For eBooks and amazon POD sales, Profits from your book are distributed monthly via Bank Transfer. The cycle may start only after 60 days of publishing the eBook.
For Printed book, royalties will be paid yearly to your bank account.

What about the post-publishing support?

We at Saikatham Books are working to keep all of our writers completely delighted with our services. For all your post-publishing questions, you will receive support from our Author Support Team via e-mail or phone, as applicable.

Will Saikatham Books create and distribute an eBook version of my book along with the paperback version?

It is an optional Service for Paperback editions.

For Saikatham eBooks, eBooks will be published and Printed books are optional.
